Pearll Fabulous experience! The Capezio is exactly what I wanted. I ordered a half size larger for extra toe room. The Skechers I ordered are in my regular size and a perfect fit. Communication with Zappos is definitely user friendly. I'll be back.

Kitty P The unexpected - Ok, I work in a hotel and I am on my feet the entire 8 hour shift. Almost all the shoes I found and bought just did not give the comfort I needed. After wearing a pair of Clarks that made my entire right leg hurt from foot to ankle to knee to hip, I was just done and could not handle it any more. I looked on Zappos and just wanted something cheaper and black that would be comfy. These came up and I really almost passed for the one and only reason they are not all that cute, original, or eye catching, but b/c of the reviews and everyone saying they were comfy, I gave them a try. Grant you, they were dancing shoes and I was like hey if they are comfy for that, then maybe just maybe they will work for me. I was skeptical to say the least, but surprisingly the first night I wore them at work, they were a bit small. I ordered an 11.5 and I normally wear an 11. They still were a bit small and my big toe rubs a bit inside making the first night tuff, but they wear in very well. Tonight is my 5th night wearing them and they are nice and broken in and I can actually say these are awesome and comfy and support me great. Who would have ever thought this from a dance shoe? I am gladly surprised and much thankful once again Zappos had what I needed and got it to me fast.

Anonymous Fantastic character shoes - if only all the Capezios fit this way. Do not order up a size or your arch will be in the wrong spot - have confirmed this with almost all the other dancers I know who own this shoe. We all have had to stick to our "street shoe" size. Toes may be a tad snug (but not painful or blister causing by any means), but better than being uncomfortable and unsupportive because of the arch issue. Does run narrower than marked - is a godsend for someone like me who has very narrow feet (but fairly normal width toes. Again this may actually be where my "snug toes" feeling comes in - or why so many people say to order a size up) so I can get away with the medium, because in the dance store, the narrow was actually too narrow for me! Very comfortable character shoe. Slightly "frumpy" looking with such a low heel, but for those with hard to fit feet who normally slide too far in normal heels (I have to wear mary jane style heels in my street shoes as well because of this); they're a great fit and easy to dance in. Would buy some to use as street shoes if only Capezio would sell a version with street soles.

Anonymous Great, but sizing is a mystery, and keep 'em indoors - After reading all the comments here, I ended up buying a half size up and a wide rather than a medium. The "wide" was a good call -- the width was perfect. But the half-size up? Unnecessary. If it wasn't for the strap, I'd be coming out of these things with every step. Used 'em anyway (as I'd purchased them for an event and did not have time to reorder the right size). Very comfy; very nice looking on stage. In fact, they were so comfortable, I forgot to take them off before I left, and I exposed their soft little soles to a couple blocks of hard, scratchy sidewalk on my way to my car. Result: I can still wear them, but the sole is already splitting from such treatment. Will probably order another pair in my actual size (but wide) and be very careful to keep those indoor-only.

Amber I wanted a pair of character shoes because I am involved in theater of all kinds, and I decided I should expand my theater/dance shoe collection (I only had one pair of black tie jazz shoes), so I saw these were affordable and classy (as I needed black shoes to wear to chorus/madrigal concerts and music festival auditions as well) so I decided to get them. After reading all the other reviews, I tried to order a 9W because I usually wear an 8M, but all they had left in black was 8M (only two pairs left!). I was hesitant at first to get them because i thought they weren't going to fit, but the next day when they came in the mail I tried them on and they fit perfectly! I was so happy. Either my feet aren't the size I think they are or the other reviews are wrong. But hey, whatever.

Anonymous Nice stage shoe - I had to get a pair of black pumps for my choir uniform. I'm a student, so my budget is pretty limited, and I've got big (and wide) feet, which makes it even harder to find shoes. My first thought was character shoes, and these fit the bill perfectly. I ordered my street size and width, and they fit just great. They're comfortable, especially for heels, and look really good. My only wish is that the upper were actual leather... but it's not due more to my price range than the shoe. It would also be nice if the strap were just a touch wider. They're definitely not a street shoe, but they're really nice to dance in and move around the stage. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing shoes of this sort.

Marcella S I bought this shoe for vocal performance, but decided to wear it for dancing instead. It has just right lift for the heel height -- very stable, plus it even has a bit of arch support! They were a half size smaller than my street shoe size, so keep that in mind when ordering. And let's talk about Zappos' service. Wow! I first ordered these shoes with 2-day shipping. They were too small so I ordered the next whole size up with just standard shipping. Zappos sent them 2-day shipping. Unfortunately, these were too large, so I ordered again a half-size smaller, standard shipping. Again, Zappos sent them 2-day shipping. I only paid once for the 2-day shipping. You can't beat that customer service.

Kneard Destroys my feet when I wear them - I bought these shoes for shows, and bring them out a month before hand to start practicing dance steps in. Whenever I wear them for longer than an hour, my feet are uncomfortable and sore. When I first bought them and tried them on, they felt fine, but I didn't bother wearing them for an extended period of time. Even with the low heel, there ends up being too much pressure on the ball of the foot, making it uncomfortable in the sole. I'm not sure how they manage this, since I've had 4-inch heel shoes feel a lot more comfortable than these. I will not purchase these shoes again, and these shoes have turned me off to the Capezio brand completely.

Erin AMAZINGLY COMFORTABLE!!! To start off with, I am not a high heel kinda girl. I'm barely a low heel kinda girl, so I was skeptical as to the comfort and support spoken of in other reviews. These shoes are wonderful. I'm not a dancer, but I've been cast in a community theater production as a Hot Box Girl and needed something with a heel to learn choreography in. I never once worried about the heel breaking on me or my arches hurting. These are easily as comfortable as my favorite sneakers. I'm thinking about buying them in another color. I did follow others' advice and ordered wider than my normal size, so go big or go home!
